What is your opinion of Frontier Alaska? How are airfares now in comparison to before the Hageland-Frontier merger? Would you rather fly with another air carrier on inter-village travel or share charters if possible?

I think the airlines are making too much profit. Since Frontier has merged there is not really any competition. Charters are good if somehow you can share with someone, but in some situations you might have no other choice to use the airline. It is strange though, couple months ago our fuel prices went down, but the airlines don't lower their prices either?

Without competition, there is no reason for Frontier to lower prices after fuel costs go down. Once Pen Air is squeezed out, everyone will be paying double for round trip tickets to Anchorage as well.
If another small outfit moved in to compete with inter-village travel I would expect Frontier to drop prices immediately to keep their airplanes full. Back in the day, passengers paid the bills and mail brought in the profit, today it's all about the passengers.
